If you already think about a trip to Formentera and wish to book a villa, but you are worried and you have doubts about confirming a reservation that you may have to cancel, we want to reassure you that we’ll do everything possible to support you in relation to the impact of COVID-19 on your 2021 booking.
Take into consideration that after the declaration of COVID-19 as a global pandemic by the World Health Organization, COVID-19, its consequences are no longer unforeseen or unexpected. Please remember to carefully review the general conditions on our cancellation policy and verify before booking that the villa chosen doesn’t include other clauses related to covid-19.
We will continue to monitor and reevaluate the situation with the interests of our clients in mind as we get closer to the dates of each reservation. As of today, with the vaccination processes already active and the options of different vaccines, we don’t consider that a reservation for this summer 2021 will be affected by the coronavirus pandemic.
Consider to purchase a travel insurance, they may provide coverage for illness due to COVID-19 should you be diagnosed and prevented from traveling at the time of your departure.
Most standard travel insurance policies are not likely to provide trip cancellation/trip interruption coverage related to COVID-19 unless you or any of your family members covered are infected at the time the trip must be taken.
A standard travel insurance (trip cancellation/trip interruption) will not likely provide coverage if you choose not to travel because of COVID-19 fears or concerns.
However, the options available to manage your reservation in case of cancellation due to covid-19 will still be the same as 2020 as long as the situation of the pandemic continues in the state in which we are now in the month of January 2021, in case of confinement of the Island of Ibiza or Formentera with the impossibility of reaching them and in case of confinement of the client in their own country due to border closure at the time of occupying the villa.
1. According to our booking conditions, clause 6- in the impossibility to undertake the confirmed booking, you can surrender your reservation to another person, the arrangements remain exactly the same as the original booking.
2. Try to reschedule your travel dates, it will be offered full flexibility during 2021 and 2022. If you don’t know by the time of cancellation when you will be able to come you will get a credit voucher with open dates and for the value of the entire amount already paid, valid for 1 year to spend in the same villa unless otherwise specified in the voucher.
4. In the event that you wish to cancel, don’t want to reschedule the dates and want to apply for a full refund, please note cancellation clauses will apply according to the general booking conditions and the conditions of each owner ultimately. If you are covered by travel insurance, contact your insurance company. We will be at your disposal to provide you with all the documentation you will need to make your claim.
Please note: although deposits are never refundable and our general reservation conditions provide for non-refunds in the specific case of “force majeure”, it is our commitment to protect the interests of our clients at all times, and in any case we will work hard in order to partially or fully refund the amounts paid when possible, as soon as possible.
